To Purchase The Circle of Na'mow Book

Anna McDermott and Gretchen Wiegand, authors of The Circle of Na'mow, designed the Na'mow symbol featured in their book. The inspiration of the design was taken from the Rumi quote, "We come spinning out of nothingness, scattering stars...the stars form a circle, and in the center we dance." Ray Darnell breathed life into their design by creating a silver pendant that captured the spiral/stars essence of The Circle of Na'mow.

Ray Darnell: "When working on the pendant, I tried to place myself in the thought processes of the very independent strong women portrayed in the book. I selected a spoon shape for the pendant because spoons would be available for these women to use in their creations. Using hand-shaped common nails as metal punches, I was able to replicate the design from the book. The pendant has a soft satin sheen."
